TEKKNO - Electric Callboy
Electric Callboy is one of those bands that will immediately pull you out of a bad mood. There’s just something so fun about mixing rave music with metal. Not to mention their music videos are hilarious. Big thanks to youtuber Tank the Tech for reminding me of this record when releasing his tour vlog (he was TM for the band). These guys seem like really cool, fun loving dudes and their music reflects that. Give it a spin!
Summer Indie Playlist
I’ve been in this vibey type of mood when it comes to music lately. Liquid drum and bass, lofi hip-hop, and anything that makes me think of chilling at a coffee shop out west. This playlist definitely passes the vibe check. Good for chilling, good for programming, or a nice drive with the sun shining.

My new website is live!
I love helping others build portfolios but hate building my own 😅
Yes! The SPAP Technology Website is finally live. I procrastinated hard on this, but just like I have written in the past, no one is going to give a sht about what I do unless I make it known about what it is I do!
My goal with this site was to be a direct reflection of what I do: building websites and apps that do more than a normal website. It is built with Astro.js, a modern web framework that combines the best of both worlds: client side and server side, and packages it into a great developer experience with easy scalability. It is framework agnostic, meaning that if I want to add a svelte app to this site, or a component built in Solidjs, Astro doesn’t care. The integration possibilities are insane, and the built in markdown templating is awesome for bloggers.

Mobile Studio / Live Rig Upgrade
Big upgrade coming for my rig today! I’ve got a road case and power conditioner arriving today, and I’ll be setting up my trusty Focusrite Clarett 8Pre inside. Since I end up tracking a lot of music outside of my own studio, having a portable, well-protected setup for transport is essential.
This setup solves two key problems for me. First, it gives me a lightweight, mobile recording studio when paired with my Sennheiser HD 490 Pros and MacBook.
The second part is even cooler—I’m routing my Line 6 Pod Go through the Clarett and sending the signal from the Clarett to my band’s mixer. This setup allows me to control both our backtracks and my guitar tone live, without needing to permanently store the Clarett in the live rack. Total game-changer!
Mobile Studio rig by day, Live rig by night. Stoked!
Camvate Drum Mic/Camera Clamps
Anyone that has mic’d up a drumset knows that those stupid, plastic mic clips SUCK.
I use a set of Samson DK707 drum mics when recording, and two of my tom mic clips were busted. Bummer.
Well, not anymore, thanks to this cool amazon find. I wanted a better, longer lasting, and cost-effective solution to drum mic setup, and I think I found it.
These little camvate clamps are awesome. They remind me of the SmallRig Magic Arm for cameras. In fact, these little clamps can be used with a camera or phone mount, which could make for some really dope live shots when playing shows.
Doing some drum tracking tonight, so I’ll be sure to share the results!
That’s all for this week’s pull request. Let’s go ahead and merge this to main. I hope you have an amazing weekend!
Build Fast. Break Stuff. Have Fun.
