Vortex (feat. Tosin Abasi) - Tigran Hamasyan

A recommendation from my buddy Austin, this piece of music is absolutely wild. It’s almost like taking Animals as Leaders, and making it jazz.

Which probably makes sense considering Tosin Abasi is the featured artist on this piece.

What caught me off guard the most is the pseudo-breakdown about halfway through the track. Hearing a breakdown done in a jazz piece was not on my 2025 bingo card, but I’m here for it.

This Consequence - Killswitch Engage

Hey babe, wake up. We got new Killswitch.

This album is SO good, and much needed in the era of hyper-produced metalcore. Killswitch was one of the bands that got me into heavy music back in the day. I do prefer the Howard Jones era, however Jesse is an incredible vocalist in his own right. Crazy that this band has had two of the best vocalists in metal. Anyways, give this record a spin. It’s exactly what you’d expect, and sometimes, that’s just what the doctor ordered.

Big Ole Album, Vol. 1 - A Day to Remember

I’m not gonna lie, this is great. From the artwork to the people who collaborated with ADTR on these records (peep Cody Quistad, Isaac Hale, and Oli Sykes on the artwork).

And yes, you heard correct, we’re getting TWO records from ADTR.

Although I have not picked up the full record yet — it’s available now on CD and Vinyl, although many of us have gotten so used to streaming we forgot records exist. — the singles are fantastic. It finally feels like a mix between old and new ADTR. Production is top notch as always. Go give this one a listen, or else cartoon Jeremy is going to haunt you in your sleep.

the face. I can’t 😂

Framer

Just like the SEO card says, Framer is a website builder loved by designers. But, after using it, I can say with confidence that it’s loved by developers too. I’m always trying to expand my tool knowledge, and Framer is definitely going to be a useful tool for my daily work.

The builder interface is heavily inspired by Figma, and they even have a plugin that will turn your Figma design into a website on Framer.

Now for the extra cool part (for me) — integrations and custom code. I can create custom React components for the site, and inject custom code, webhooks, and more, making this a power house for static websites and interactive web experiences alike.
