DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS - Bad Bunny
Fun fact: I love Bad Bunny’s music, and this album is a masterpiece. Full transparency, my spanish is not great, so I’m just over here getting down like Mark S. at the Melon Bar.

classic white dude dance moves.
All jokes aside, this album needs to be talked about. From the moving short film that accompanies this album and brings awareness to the gentrification of Puerto Rico, to the compositional choices on this record to blend traditional styles with modern reggaeton, this record is a message of unity and culture across generations. Music is the universal language, and we as artists need to realize the sheer power of our platform. This album is a must-listen.
URM Academy Podcast - Ryan “Fluff” Bruce
Speaking of must listens, the URM Academy Podcast is a wealth of knowledge for aspiring music industry professionals. I listened to these two episodes, where host producer Eyal Levi sits down and chats with Ryan Bruce, aka Fluff from Dragged Under and the Riffs, Beards, and Gear Youtube Channel.
These two episodes are full of inspiration, as well as a real look at how labels sign & work with bands, a realistic view on touring, and making a living in the music industry. Definitely check these out.
Tech
Adam Audio D3V - Active Studio Monitors
After moving the studio rig back to the house, it became a bit frustrating having my Yamaha HS5’s on my desk. They took up a lot of room, and being that most of my work has been done mobile lately, teardown and setup became pretty daunting.
That’s where these little guys come in. I saw these monitors on Joey Sturgis’ instagram, and was shocked at 1) the size (or lack thereof), and 2) the price point. After watching a couple of reviews, I knew I had to pull the trigger on these.
These monitors pack a serious punch in such a small package. They have integrated room + positioning controls, support both TRS and USB inputs, and, if I’m being honest, sound even better than my Yamaha’s. I hope that the engineers over at Adam are proud, because these things are an audio engineering breakthrough for engineers or musicians that are on the go.
That’s all for this week’s pull request. Let’s go ahead and merge this to main. I hope you have an amazing weekend!
Build Fast. Break Stuff. Have Fun.
