Hymns In Dissonance - Whitechapel

Deathcore is so back. Whitechapel is back with a brand new album and the first two singles made it apparent that they aren’t fking around. Hymns of Dissonance is the latter of the two, and it’s here to wreak sonic brutality on your ear holes. Phil’s menacing vocals coupled with menacing breakdowns and shreddy licks have me stoked for this record. Give this one a spin.

Return to One - Invent Animate + Silent Planet

Metalcore heavyweights Invent Animate and Silent Planet teamed up to drop this banger on us. The first of three songs on an upcoming EP, ‘Bloom in Heaven’, the tag team dropped some brutal riffage on us. This song will take you on a journey of melodic leads, spanky, scooped low-tuned guitars, and soaring vocals. To my ears, the mix presents itself as a little on the dry side in comparison to the uber-polished norms of the genre which is refreshing. Definitely going to want to stay tuned for this one.

Midi Remap

If you’ve done some production in the last decade, you know that remapping midi is a tedious process. Those days are over.

My friend and fellow engineer, David, showed me Midi Remap during a tracking session last night. Simply upload your midi track, and select the preset you’d like to convert the mapping to.
