A word from the author...

I’ve always had a knack for writing. Maybe that’s why I decided to create this blog. I tried doing the whole “youtuber" thing, but every time I sat in front of the camera, I felt like it came off as disingenuous…or maybe it was the imposter syndrome. I don’t know. Maybe this will be more of my speed. Anyways…

My name is Shawn. And if you’re anything like me, you’re here for one of a few different reasons:

• You love tech.

• You love music.

• You want to learn something.

• You’re a supportive friend. (Extra thanks to you guys.)

• You clicked subscribe by accident. Oh well, pour a cup of joe, read this post and stay awhile— you might change your mind.

I’m a software developer, a business owner, a father, a friend, a musician, and a creative. Some might say that I have too many hobbies…and some might be correct. My goal with this blog is to share my experiences that these many hats provide. We’ll talk about some cool stuff and learn together along the way.

A few more things about me:

• I am a Senior Full Stack Developer and own a development agency, SPAP Technology Solutions. (shameless plug)

• My weapon of choice is Javascript; though I also frequent Python, PHP, SQL, C#, & dabble in Kotlin, Swift, C++, and more. I can’t wait to see this list evolve over time. What’s your favorite language?

• I’ve been playing in and recording bands for over a decade. I’ll share some studio & show stories from time to time.

• I’m an Apple fanboy. Expect some Apple content here.

• Star Wars, Magic The Gathering…we get nerdy around here. Let me know if you want to play some EDH.
